Welcome to Comfort Kennel Pet Care!
We are excited every time we open the door to new and repeat customers here at Comfort Kennel. We believe we are unique in what we offer. Unlike many boarding facilities, we don’t have set hours for dropping off or picking up your fur-kids. Everyone’s schedule is unique and we want to accommodate yours. We advertise that we are open 24 hours for this reason. We do schedule arrivals and departures, though. We want to be sure we take care of one family at a time so we can devote attention to each and every one.
Our combined family pet care experience covers more than 60 years. We have owned and maintained a sprint-racing sled dog kennel for more than 30 years. The team has cat and rabbit fur-siblings. Whether performing athletes, with specific health and nutrition requirements, or couch residents, we provide optimal care to all. Our animal care expertise is not limited to domestic animals. We also participate in wildlife rehabilitation when contacted to do so.
Over the years we learned much about unique animal needs. If you have pets with special needs, please be assured yours will receive extra and unique individual attention. Whether dog, cat or rabbit, we have cared for senior, blind, deaf, handicapped, diabetic, and others afflicted with debilitating diseases. We currently care for a blind 14-year old dog, a diabetic cat, and an arthritic, deaf 14-year-old dog, to mention a few.
We take great pride in keeping current with pet care information and news. We participated in Penn Foster’s Pet Grooming Certification program, American Red Cross Pet First Aid Class and Barkleigh’s Cat and Dog First Aid and CPR Certification training program. We are active members of the International Boarding & Pet Services Association, National Dog Groomer’s Association of America, Association of Professional Dog Trainers, International Association of Professional Dog Daycare Owners, and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.
Last but not least, we want to get to know our fellow pet lovers. We invite you to send a note or give us a call to introduce yourselves. Of course, we would love to have your fur-kids join us for a day or a more extended stay so we can get to know them too! We offer discounts to return customers, active or military veterans, first responders, senior citizens and extended stay customers.
Best regards,
Karen & Family
